All of it and then you have to pull the exhaust as well.

Do these answer your question? (all you have to do is search and you'll have hours of reading.)

here's the parts list
RPM transmissions M6
LS7 clutch, flywheel
LS6 slave, McCleod master, new pilot bearing
C6 Z06 shocks
Z06 sway bar/end links
GM slotted/drilled rotors
GM Durastop pads

rear cradle removed, dropping the torque tube low enough to slide the diff off

next up is the trans, w/ all the wiring disconnected and the shifter rod removed this is slid off the TT, the 2 dowels on each sometimes require a little prodding, GM provides external lugs for leverage

here's the tunnel w/ the TT rem'd, w/ the diff and trans off, the TT is very easy to handle w/ one person, notice the hole at the top of the tunnel for the shifter

getting the rear xmember back to the way it looked from Bowling Green, only takes a few extra minutes to make things look mint(or close to it)

I found at least 15 threads related to your question.

Yeah connecticut, you had some nice photos so I thought I'd just post a couple of those. ~Joshua

Good luck dood. ~Joshua

p.s. if you can't use the search button correctly, what makes you think you're going to change a C5 clutch?

Thanks for the pm message. I just wanted clarification on the whole removal process. I have only seen everything removed and was wondering if it could be avoided. What I didn’t need is a smart *** response from all the 20 something’s out there that think they have done it all seen it all and think they invented the internet

What was "smart assed" about asking if that answered your question (using pictures!!!) wanting to know if you needed to drop the rear cradle?

You said "no."

What did you not get from looking at the pictures?

Don't get all butt-hurt because a 20 something year old (who knows more than you) tells you that searching will find your answer.

You're the one who looks like a crying baby becasue your ego and pride wont take a "use the search" when that's obviously what you should've done.

Want to hug it out after lunch?

Christ get over it, just search and if you have some really specific questions then go ahead and ask. Firehawk did all the work for you, and you got Conn. offering to pm you whatever else you need. GTFOI

And yes, I am that 20 something that thinks I have done it all, I helped Al Gore with the internet as well.

Big whoop-dee-f#cking do. You couldn't do my job, and you can't do a Corvette clutch either from the looks of it.

Do you think I'm in awe of you now? I just lost the last bit of respect for you. Get lost jerk.

*edit- I removed the very disrespectful smilie. If you want to argue with me take it up in a pm, but you sure as hell won't make me respect you. ~Joshua

Cut Spdmn75 some slack. He wants to try his own clutch install, that says something about him right there.

I did cut him slack by censoring my anger in the last post. I tried to help, but he took things the wrong way and ran with it even further.

I'm done with this thread. ~Joshua

Dude grow up , I've probably worked on alot more cars than you have, and I was just trying to see if there was a shortcut on the clutch. Not all of us live on the internet, some of us are out there making the world a better place, even for you.
