Have you met all 99.88% of the Corvette owners out there? People generally get treated the way they treat other people, so if you're having a problem with 99.88% of the Corvette owners you meet then it's a high probability that you are the one with the problem.

When you've met "most Vette owners", then you can make a statement like this. I've met many of them, and not one fits this description. Now I've met many people with attitudes similar to yours, and they were very young and naive and thought they knew it all when they didn't know ****. I guess that makes everyone like you young and naive, huh? Oh, wait, just "most" of them.

FACT: If one person has a problem with 99.8% of other people, then THAT ONE PERSON HAS THE PROBLEM!

I agree with the following:

4. The Vette Tax
5. The complicated electrical system
6. The work it takes to change the rear
7. The junk Bose in C5s. (my 96 Camaro SS's Bose sounded amazing)
8. Cost of oil changes (Mobil 1 Syn. oil) I just paid $6.25 for a quart the other day..... GAY!
9. The amount of service shops that know a damn thing about the newer vettes.
10. The cost of a new HUD windshield!
ok, i'll stop now

Worried as hell about scratching it. $700 a month car payments for a 6 year loan makes you really carefull compared to my old $300 a month 5 year loan Z28 payment.

Yeah, suposidly there is a reflective component in the glass that makes the HUD easier to see.

Really no wonder it looks super clear compared to when you put a HUD in a F-Body. Though the dash doesn't reflect onto the windshield as bad as my Z28 did.

Is it put into the glass during the molding or it put into the coating over the glass?

Im guessing the reflective component is in the glass to prevent any kind of peeling or damage to it

I agree about the wave. It is goofy.
I also don't like being associated with the waxers that the majority of Vette owners are. They are more interested in being seen in the car then in driving it. They squeal a tire and it's "god awful fast".
I ignore all the dipshits in stupid cars that somehow think they are faster.
The build quality of the interior is pretty crappy for such an expensive car. The C6 is mucher better then the C5 but should still be better.

Since I am 24, short, and look goofy I don't get waves just dirty looks. It must be the "looks like his daddy bought it for him" look.

Most Corvette drivers are &ssholes . Of course most people are &ssholes so you can't really get a "clean" survey sample if you just check Corvette drivers. Hell have you ever listended to a Prius driver before ?

Though now that I think about it of all the Corvette drivers I have spoken to in person 100% are ********. Though that only counts if you include talking to yourself because I have never spoken to a Corvette driver in person before. At least I never knew he/she drove one.

I'd rather get a wave than the one finger salute.

The stigma attached to Vettes bugs me little but not a big deal.

Off topic question but I have been wondering how comfortable the ride/handling is in the 90 style Corvette.

I've heard the C5 & C6 are the only comfortable rides as far as the generations go. Does the 90 (C4 right) handle as well?

to me the worst part of owning the car is the fact that there are so many others on teh road, there is a LOT here in houston, so its not a special sight. Fbodies are much more rare then vettes in my daily driving routine.

I see one fbody for every 20 vettes
