Droppin the drivetrain on an A4 C5 I fianlly got some time to work on the 97.......Hey, with 2 others why rush 
I found a good way to get the cradle down and out with 1 person....my tire cradles!
Just roll it out of the way. easy for 1 :thumbs:
I have the rest of the drive train just about out and down.......damn ABS block is on the back of a 97' so I just have to take my time and lower the engine a little at a time.......front shaft is at least 3/4 of the way out. Trans jack helps make it easier

How hard would you rate this job? Besides a tranny jack what specials tools are needed? I'm gonna put a converter in pretty soon and am debating doing this myself. It's either thiis or $650 to install the converter. I don't wanna pay $650 if I don't have to.

On a scale of 1-10, I would say an 8 for most. I do all my own work so its a 4 for me
Its not to bad in an AC garage

Guess what I used the other cradle for:thumbs: I will swap out the trans jack for my other cradle and be good to go
Stay tuned, I plan to reinstall an easier way for 1 person
