Well if your into drag racing the F-Bod is the better platform with it's Live Rear Axle which is better for lauching compared to the IRS of the Vette which is more suited for road racing. In terms of straight line performance the difference is shown at speeds over 100 with the advantage going to the Vette stock for stock. In a 1/4 race the LS1 F-bod with just intake, exhaust, and a tune is right there with a well driven C5 Vette if not passing him. If you want a car that can handle as well as it accelerates the Vette is your choice. It's much lighter and a much funner car to drive if you ask me. I'm not saying a Vette isn't good at drag racing it's just harder to launch than the F-BOD.

If you are going to drag race alot go with the camaro because with the vette the rear end (irs)and transmission(a4) have their limitations.with the camaro you get a better rear end and transmission i have a 2000 C5 that runs 10s all day long but now i want high 9s and dont know if it will ever get there.
