Default T rex in a 04 Z

How would it be driving around? Heads would be stock unported with 921 springs. Would I have to fly cut? Any info on this cam in a c5 would be a big help. Thanks

What kind of power would a T rex put down with stock ls6 heads? Somewhere around 430 or more rwhp I would think. Like said above go big or go home.

Yes my friend, you would have to flycut the pistons. I've been trying to break in a car with a T-rex and i'll say, that it's like a kitten to drive. Not alot of bottem end torque.... it does SEEM to pull hard when pushed but, I honestly have been takening it somewhat easy on it as it is a new motor. For driveability, i'd say it's very easy to live with.....atleast on this particular 402.

You may want to call thunder,....spend a little bit of time withh someone on the phone,...I usually talk to johnathon. Tell them what you want....the'll give you what you need. For you,...if you DO not want to flycut, and want an off the shelf cam,...and like thunder,...try the TRAK cam. We've installed it in a few cars and, were more then happy. Matter of fact, we'll be doing a cam swap in a TA this week....i'll let you know the dyno difference as far as numbers go.

....Although now a days you DON'T have to go big but...to me as well, there is no other choice. Go big,...or go home.

I had one in my camaro SS and that thing wasnt that bad to daily drive. Mileage royally sucked though (around 9mpg). The tune will determine how it handles on the street.

No Flycutting Required!! (Proceed at your own risk!)

I have the TRex in an 02Z06. The stock heads have NEVER been off the car. No Flycutting.

I have about 10,000 miles on the install, no issues to date.

Driveability is a little rough under 2000 rpms, but manageable once you get used to it.

See sig for mods, but dyno'd at 451 rwhp after the tune.

Steve
