wud I keep up with a cobra? I have a 97 C5 ill have LG longtubes X pipe and fast 90mm intake manifold with magnaflow exhaust automatic will I keep up with a cobra wud I win loose badd or what? Thanks
The 90/90 is pretty big on a stock cubed/mostly stock LS1. It would probably do more harm than good. (it'll make your low/mid range soggy)
Get the LS6 intake, and a really good tune with hptuners (street tune) to go along with the headers and you'll keep up with a stock 03/04 no problem.

Really. What gears do you have in that auto? How many times have you been to the track? I am guessing never since you obviously do not know what your car can do. No offense but you have a low 13 sec car on most days. IF you are a hot shoe with great conditions then you might be high 12's. If you have never been to the track then look up some results for a 97 vette. The LS1 f-body in stock form was as fast if not faster than most stock vettes.

Thats about dead on target..........13.2 in my 2000 with 3:15 A4 lt's, tune, vortex. However it was 92 degrees last time.......should do high 12's closer to fall temps.

FWIW I've had a few Cobra mustangs a '96, '98 and '03. The '98 did 13.6 @ 103 stock and did 12.91 @ 107 with Drag Radials, gears, exhaust and a homemade cold air set-up. The '03 did 12.81 @ 109 completely stock first time out in Houston heat. You're going to need a few more parts to keep up.

Stock vs. stock the vette is better. BUT you have an a4. So in a quarter mile race the blown cobra will edge you out. From a highway roll you'll still get him stock vs. stock. What kind of encounter are you asking about, at the track or on the street?
