I just did a header install with LG's on a 00 it was pretty easy. It was a little time consuming it took all day. You will want another person there to help you when you bolt the headers to the engine to make it easier. I have heard that the American Racing headers are on the the easiest to install FWIW.

I was anticipating a shorter install than all day. My buddies did their Formula headers in 3-4 hours, and the vettes should be easier.

It can't be any worse than an f-body, and my f-body took 5-6 hours start to finish including a new catback also.

We put stainless works on my 02 z06 in a little less than 6 hours. There is a tab on the block by the oil filter i'd recommend removing if i were you when you have all the exhaust off. Use a grinder or a file (that would take a while) That was the only thing that held mine up from not being on sooner. Oh, and i dont care what people say about using stock header bolts, but DONT. My head now has a bolt broke off in it, that i'll fix when i do heads to my car, but not now, because i used the factory bolts. It's the very rear bolt on the driver side. Thankfully, it doesn't leak.

On your car its an 02 you dont have to do as many steps as mine being an 00. I had to take the intake off and install a new air pipe. Then we had fitment issues with the tab on the bell housing, so we had to make our own. My buddies on a 97 was easier perfect fit we did it in about 5-6 hours. Mine I was by my self for quite a while and I am not a mechanic at all.

Stock I dyno'd 351rwhp 338 rwtq.

I haven't had it dyno'd or tuned since the header install. I raced my buddy that makes 385rwhp and from both a 50 punch and off a light, he jumped me by one car and i pulled him by 1 at the top of fourth.

Once i'm tuned and have a good CAI (just have the ziptie mod right now, and a DIRTY filter) I should be good for about 395-400rwhp.

Have helped install several sets, KOOKS are the hardest, you have to jack up the engine sideways on the batwings to slide em in . LG pretty str8 forward. SuperMaxx same.

I paid someone else to suffer through all that bullshit, It isnt so bad at all working on things that you can see, but the engine bay on the C-5 is to damn small I wish we could have the same hood that the set up the C-4 has!!!

I think LG motorsports is doing install of there headers at corvettes at carlise. The most you can be is 2.5hours from there. I would contact them. I think for a small fee they will also update your tune for the increased HP and codes that could be thrown by the headers. Great headers and if you can get them installed bye the makers go for it! Save yourself the headache!!!!!!!!!!!! Think Carlise should be some cool vettes there also.

lol you obviously have never had an LS1 f-body. Going from an LS1 f-body to a LS-1 corvette makes the vette seem like child's play
