I've installed several sets of that particular header and its one of the hardest headers to install on a C5, even more so if its the 1 7/8 version.
Plan on a half day for your first set unless your very mechanically inclined.

I just installed a set of kooks with x pipe this weekend.
what you will have to remove to get em in is the starter, oil filter, steering shaft, valve covers, and unbolt the motor mount bolts to jack the motor up on what ever side your working on. its nothin major jus takes a lil extra time

Try this link here. http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=29
They used LG headers which have more curves then the Kooks, but outline most of the steps required.

I dodn't have to jack up the engine. Some headers you have to come up from the bottom of the car, make sure you have the capability (jack stands, ramps, and what not) to do it. Other than that they're not hard. I did my first set in my garage in a few hours. I've seen shops charge over $600 for install, do it yourself save the $$$
