1989 Corvette

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to post about my C4 here, so sorry if this is the

I just got a 1989 C4 corvette. It's a 6speed and I absolutely love it. But I was wondering, is there anything in particular I should know about these cars? Because I'm really new to Corvette ownership and I'd like any advice from ANYONE who's owned a C4 (non-lt1).

Also, it makes a loud grinding noise for about 5 minutes after I start it up, then the noise goes away. Could anyone tell me what it is?

I dont know about the noise, but I have a 1990 corvette and it is a good car.

C4s are pretty sweet. My dad owns a 89 red, vert, 6 speed. It is a really nice easy car to drive and it has a nice dose of torque. Congrats on the purchase. Where is the grinding sound coming from?

Yeah, it's deffinetly sweet, I love driving it

Anyway, I'm not sure where it is coming from because when i got to work to check it out, it completely stopped doing it. And it hasnt done it all day...I just got the oil changed as well.

i absolutly love 88-90 c4's just the look w/the rims in a dark red is tough. i want to buy one and build it in the worst way but my car comes first as of right now.
