99 frc
i have an opportunity to buy a 99 frc atlantic white corvette z06 clone with black int. w/ 57k on the odometer for $21,500. the only problem is I would have to trade my car in or try to sell it outright and then get the vette. Should i do it?

Drive it first and then make up your mind. I had 5 F-bods before I got my vette and dont regret trading my last comaro in one bit. Once I drove the vette I knew I had to have it.
Also the FRC is a pretty rare vette, especially in Artic White or Nassau Blue. Plus they they look the best IMO.
Try to talk the owner down to 20k even...its almost fall and corvette season is over.

I got a 99 FRC a few months ago...I paid 17.5 for it with 77k on the clock. So I think you can get them to go down a little on the price.
I bought it before I sold my Formula. I had both for about 2 months....it took me awhile to sell my Formula. Hopefully you can sell yours a little quicker.

I bought mine a year ago with 28K for $21,500.00. See if you can get them down a little. Other than that, you'll never regret it! It's just an awesome and rare car. Too bad they already did the Z06 clone though. Never was a big fan of that (why turn a rare car into one that's not?).
Good luck!

yeah if I end up buying it, i would definitely take off the badges, i think i might leave the ducts and the rims though. i dont know if i will have time to sell my z in time and get before i go on deployment though. i sure would hate to pass it up though.

I've had both, not an expert but here's my $.02
F-Body: Cheaper parts and just as fast in a strait line
Corvette: Costs significantly more... but it says Corvette on the back of it!!
Bottom line, it just comes down to what kind of driving you enjoy. If you like modding cars, drag racing, etc... F-Body all the way. If you like to feel like a million bucks rolling down the road even if you get beat by a F-Body, a Corvette might be just what you're looking for.

I try to leave it in the garage as much as possible but she see's a little sunlight on the weekends as long as the weather cooperates. I appreciate the props, unfortunately it looks like I might not be the only local white FRC in the near future. Either way, good luck with your decesion.
