Mines on Jackstands right now 2002 I will give you colors and wire sizes large/small.
4 wires to my soliniod. Theres 1 purple on top about 12gauge. I have the main battery cable 6/8gauge red and a 10gauge orange wire? There is also a thin black wire on this pole. It is hard for me to look around the headers.
For me purple on top
And Red/orange/black below

Sorry I hate electrical ****(DC)

i have a small black ground i think, 1 red from the battery, 1 orange, and one grayish, and the small purple, its hard for me to see from the top. its weird i just installed my 408 and had it running yesterday did the warm up and breaking and everything was great then i parked it came home tonight and went to crank it and it clicked a couple times then turned over plenty of volts but nothing i pulled one of the spark plugs and put it to a ground and got one spark and that was it so now i have a intermitant starter and no spark i have to guess its a wire installed wrong

Hey joe I can see the middle post from between my plugs and it has what looks like a heavy black ground wire same size as main battery power. That would be the post closet to the center of car/clutch area.

Purple on top
Black Heavy ground middle/closest to clutch
Red/orange/thin wire black all on bottom post

I hope this helps

yes and no all my wires are correct but still intermitant cranking and spark would this be caused if the starter solenoid was bad? im more worried about the lack of spark i know the strater is most likly bad but would that cause the spark problem???

I think you need to go into the fuse boxes at this time and check everything out. Good luck Joe I just hate DC ****. I would spend a couple bucks and get a noid light set for the plugs and also get one for the injectors also. It has helped me in the past instead of trying to ground for checking spark. Good Luck

Joe I think at this point you should try to PM Kleinete she is a mod over in general maintance and repair she is a tech/mechanic and knows her ****. She has a c-5 and may be able to help you. With no spark I would be leaning torwards a relay. Good luck
