First dyno on the TT ZO6
I cannot say enough about the shop that done the work for me. They had nothing but trouble from the turbo kit from the beginning. The company that made the kit gave us no support at all on anything. They had to do so much fabricating to make things fit that I can not even begin to to list everthing. The car runs cool, everything works and the tune is dead on. I love it!
I have a permanent grin plastered on my face the entire time that I am driving it.
The motor is a stock cube LS6 with good rods and pistons and a stock crank. TEA LS6 2.5 heads and a small cam -224/232 . Stock intake and tb, 65# injectors, msd bap and Lingenfelter in tank pump. It has a Kook's X-pipe with the stock cat-back.
The tranny is stock with a Aussie clutch. Hardened axle shafts, DTE brace on the way and stock gears are in the rear.
All the tuning was done by Dave Smith at Dave's Total performance using HP Tuners. The car starts and idles perfectly. It drives like stock until the boost comes on,then it will cross 2 lanes of traffic with dr's on. I cannot say enough about their shop. They have done everything on the car from the bottom end to the install of the turbo kit (a complete nightmare) to the tuning. They will always have my business.
I have meth on the car, but I have not used it yet. I also plan to dump some race gas in and crank up the boost eventually.
The only external mods to the car are tinted windows, light covers and black Motorsport wheels (The car is black). I also have a MCM carbonfiber hood on the car. As soon as I get a chance, I will get some pics and post them up. I will also post up some timeslips as soon as I get to the track.
can you tell us the location of the shop and the name of the turbo kit.....
also some pics/vids would be awsome!
congrats!
The kit started out as a PTK kit, but so many things had to be changed so that everything would fit, I would not call it that anymore. Once I get the time, I will compile a list of the problems that I had with it. It should not have even been called a kit. Just a bunch of random parts with no instructions that would not fit!
I have a vid of the dyno and I will get some pics up as soon as I get a chance.
I also plan on making a video of street and track races, donuts burnouts ,etc.

as there are a large number of prospective TT purchasers there.
Here is the dyno video. (Pulling in 4th with 3.42s). (First pull was only 520, final pull was posted power). Total timing is at 16deg, and 11.5 AFR, with 91 octane pump gas, and stock catback. so there obviously is alot more on the table, but this is the very street SAFE tune.

Your car is insane! Sounds stock while running but will absolutely eat! I love your hood as well. I wish they made one like it for my Z.
Impressive numbers. Keep it between the lines... if you can!
Keep us posted on the track numbers.

As for the kit, Im not big on bashing, so all I can say is you will wish you hadnt bought it if you do. It doesnt fit in any way, not even CLOSE, and there customer service ends with the 4 minute playtime install video overview.
edit: And lets not forget the 8 months (after its paid for) it takes to get the box of parts they called a "kit"
Good luck, but I would advise a different set up
That doesn't take away from the issues you had, just that it's not that way w/ every C5 kit they've sold. Again, I'm glad things are good now and you can enjoy the new power
There are other kits out and some coming out... they seem to all make good power but if you're wanting big power carried to 6500 on big cubes then the choices aren't there unless you want power to come on later (STS). Drop off at 5000 isn't all that great, 5500 is okay and 6500 is great.
