Need help deciding I read an earlier post and it seems that you guys were pretty helpfull. I will be in the market for a vette in the near future. Ive made my mind up on what year 01. but i just cant decide if i want a six speed or not. I have never owned a manual. How hard is it to learn to drive? This car will not be a DD maybe one day out of the week and occasional weekend cruises. but i want to have a little fun also not gonna be a track car

my first mustang was an auto, the 2nd was a 5 speed. the car was virtually the same but the 5 speed was a blast to drive, especially out cruising. learning to drive a stick isn't hard, might be better to learn on a car that doesn't have as much power as a vette. i learned on a 92 s10 with like 12 hp. but suit yourself, not saying you cant learn on a vette. now when i was talking about getting a vette ( 2 years) i still had my 5.0 and then i finally up and sold it, and the only vette i'd consider was a 6-speed. so far the car has been a blast and im definately glad i didn't get an auto.
