Top speed speedo shots??

That is the smoothest camera shot of a speedo I have ever seen, i'm guessing that might have been on a dyno. Most people will at least pan out to see the road after the run is over.
I wondered the same thing, possible dyno vid.
allngn_c5,
No one was hurt in the blow out. We were lucky and I believe the parachute helped alot. As to the air dam for the front of your car, keep in mind you have to balance the car. So some amount air dam will help. But you don't want to be standing your car on the nose.

We got it flat out 3 times, 176 indicated each time. Got it over 160 probably 6 more times. Sorry, fastest HUD shot I have is 153. The HUD shots were taken one-handed and I was just a little too busy at 170+ for that. I should have thought to have the wife take a GPS shot of the laptop on her lap. The GPS did confirm the speedo.
I was frickin impressed at seeing 176 on a stock LS1 with only a Z06 catback, and this at probably 3-4,000 feet altitude. And, the car was amazingly stable at speed. 176 was not really a big deal at all. Incredible car, hat's off to the GM engineers.
Closer to home, 119 is the current record on the on-ramp going to work. We're gettin' there.
