Did they live up to your hype for em? I know I so immature asking this (keep in mind I'm only 20), but I just can't imagine driving such a beautiful car, my z28 is amazing enough to drive!

go to a dealership and test drive one. tell them your lookin to trade up and they will only run your credit. first the salesman drives and then you. you wont get to do the works but you can dip your toes in a little.

I have had 3 F-body cars and after buying my Z06 I honestly don't know why I ever spent so much money on the other cars. I had never even sat down in a vette before I bought this one, which I guess is why it took me so long to buy one lol.

I have owned 5 F-Bodies and three of those were 4th Gens (one LS1 and two LT1's, and I still have the two LT1's) and the Vette is a completely different animal. You just can't compare driving a car with a unibody that flexes everywhere and then hopping into a full frame car and driving it. The Vette is just so much more tight, responsive, well built, has more bells and whistles, and is an overall better car than the F-body. Don't get me wrong, I'm an F-Body guy at heart, but the f-Body really doesn't compare.

This car does, and now Im old enough to remember all my good friends that no longer see the sun rise every day no longer do anything! I know some 20 year olds with fast cars, I just dont know how they do It! Ya I just guess Im weak that way! Its easy now but then,......NO WAY!

My first impression after buying my C5 was, why didn't I do this sooner. If you have the ways and means of picking one up, I highly recommend it. It truely is a drivers car. I've had mine for a month today, and have put 4k miles on it already. Hell, I'm already looking for a C6!!

they are great cars, i owned my car the 1st time well basically leassed it from my dad for a measly $420 a month plus my 120 a month insurance at the age of 18. i loved it then 2 years later i actually took out a loan and had to have the car back at the age of 20 still love the car. unfortunatly my parents decided to move to north carolina so looks like i will be selling the car back to my dad because he cannot part w/the car one way or another due to the color and what it means to my family. hope you get one so you can enjoy it.

I'm 21, and I have 3 vettes. I'm hooked. I've got a 72 vert 454, 77, and a 98 triple black vert. They are awesome. My 98 will throw you into the seat smoking the tires with just exhaust and intake mods. 12.8 1/4 mile with bolt on parts and a little know how. Having one is awesome!

I think if you're going to do it, go all out, get you an 02-04 z06, i've had some very highpowered street cars (500+Rwhp) and this thing will still scare me sometimes.

something about spinning tires at 100+ mph.... i dunno...

I love my Z, and came from a Z28... everyone is right, you can't compare these 2 f-bodies.

i had a dumbass 16 year old smash into my Z28 LS1 H/C and totalled it. I got 18 back from sueing him and I put a downpayment on my Z06. I couldn't be happier. A 19 year old driving a Z06? You tell me. I still miss my Z28 to death but I fell the Z06 is its angel. RIP

I had 2 F bodies before this car. At the time, the F bodies where awesome but I allways wanted a Vette. I almost bought an F bodie instead of this, and had 20K to drop in a 427 before I even drove it... no regrets as a vette is sick in the turns and on the breaks. The power to wieght )or lack of) is insane. Where are you at??? Want a ride?

get the vette, but go for a 02-04 z06. It's so worth it. It truly is the ultimate driving machine. ive experienced supercharged f-body's, fully built 350 80's muscle cars and big block cars and nothing compares to the vette.

The 01 vs 02-04 Z06 has been beaten to death. Pick a Corvette you can afford. Do your research on each vehicle and know what your looking for. There are differences between the years (cam, wheels, HUD, precats, potential oil consumption). Once you change the camshaft, which everyone does anyway along w/ exhaust, you'll be glad you saved $4-8K on the purchase of an 01 Z for mod money. If your going to leave it stock w/ no mod's whatso ever, then buy an 02-04Z w/ a warranty.

I had three 4th gen Firebirds (95 TA, 95 Formula, 98 Formula) before getting my C5 and I always looked at the f-body as my stepping stone to another Corvette (I owned an 84 Corvette breifly back in 1991) I just wish I had been able to afford a C5 much sooner! I will never be without a Corvette ever again. I'm already planning on my next one (I'd like to get a 2005 Corvette in a year or two)
