Default 2007 Corvette dealer catback option

Anyone know if this option is worth any power? I see that you can now get a
catback from the factory and wondered if it was worth a power gain over the
stock system. I am not talking about the tips, but the actual catback they offer now. Anyone have any numbers for these?

thanks.

I wonder if its that aggressive system people have been getting. I "heard" of a cat-back offered by the dealer as a GM Agressive Catback or somethign like that. Many say on the Corvetteforum it is much louder then the stock one. As for how much more power, well that I do not know. Not really sure I am thinking the same one honestly.

I recently saw one not too long ago on a new C6. Looked and sounded identical to a Corsa system, with the only difference being no Corsa emblem etched on the tips. Instead it had the Vette flags and GCA on it. AND Corsa is the only aftermarket exhaust manufacturer besides SLP that GM endorses for use on its products.

I researched some more and found out it is made by Corsa. They actually
do 2 of them. One is quiet, the other is loud. How did the one you heard
sound?

Buying just sound? If that is the case, what a complete rip off! This Corsa Sport exhaust is barely more audible than the stock system! I just had mine put on last week. What a let down

Going from one Corsa to another won't really get you any more power. Going from another setup to a Corsa can get you some power. Corsa's setup is so good, that all they do is change it enough to make more sound. So going from the touring to the pace car won't get you much more power, but you will definitely hear the difference.

I went from the stock C6 exhaust to the Corsa Sport exhaust. There is not much of a difference in sound. I mean, I hear it now, compared to stock, but if you get on it, you still hear the engine over the exhaust. If it is not worth the 8 to 10rwhp Corsa stated it was, then it was a complete waste of money. I wasn't expecting it to sound like my TA with longtubes, y-pipe and Borla, but it is very quiet. You can hear it at idle, but once you start moving it is barely audible Once you hit over drive, forget it! I can't imagine how quiet the Touring exhaust is if the Sport is this quiet.

It may not be as quiet as you think... it may just be putting the sound out the back of the car, where it should be. You're probably used to more inner sound from your T/A exhaust. I know that we put a Corsa on a friends Z, and got rid of his Flowmaster, and he thought the car was quieter. In reality it was a bit louder when I was behind him. Corsa seems to get rid of all of the drone, so it's not so loud inside the car.
