Default a little nutty.

Lately....i've been getting a little loose in the FRC. lol. Not like 1st, or 2nd gear loose....i'm talking 90+mph sideways action. All of it is mostly having the car at or near it's limit....usually on corners,...hard corners. Off ramps, on ramps...etc etc.

The other day, while merging onto our 5 lane highway,...which I always enter at or above 100mph(it's usually 7am or soo)......well, right before the highway enterence, we have a two lane corner, which you can take in my car at roughly 90mph(it's a "35"mph corner).,,...which is about thrid gear. Anyways, as I tuck down low in the corner, @ 90 or more, my car slipped itself right into a drift(maybe some wetness on the road or something)...which I instantly reacted to by lifting slightly(NO CLUTCH OR BRAKE) and turning into it. Which I gotta say, this car is VERY manuaverable....at almost any speed. The car straightened itself out....and I was once again back in the throttle.....giving myself a nice loud WOO HOO!

Alot of fun,....as crazy as it may sound.

Same highway, now for an off ramp.
I went into this corner WAAAAY hot,...braking from 140,...entering the nose of the corner at 90mph(I usually take this corner at 75mph and thats fast).....again, entering at 90mph, on the brakes and downshifting at the same time, the car got completely sideways,.......in a drift style. I just turned into the ramp,....again, the car straightening itself out without any soiled underwear. I powered back into it, and exited the corner most IMSA drivers would be proud of.

Again, a little crazy but, without a doubt fun. If I had a passenger, they would have **** themselves, no doubt.

Now, today,...I'm hauling ***. NO TRAFFIC on the road where I was. I'm doing 120mph, in 5th gear, accelerating. The roads LOOKED dry, completely dry but, I must have hit a weird spot or something..... Anyways, at that speed, the car stepped out COMPLETELY sideways. I turned into it, by the time I said "WTF" to myself, it was already over with. That, was the craziest one yet cause, although I always seem ready for the **** to go down, this happened at a time I really wasn't expecting it.

What mods?

vararam,90/90 ported,AFR 205's,TRAK cam, harland sharp rockers,2005 cts-v black coils,lg pro long tubes, no cats, hurst, B&B bullets, about 40 different tunes by diablosport at there R&D facility,....and what makes this car what it is,...is the DRM(doug rippie motorsports) coil-over setup(BADASSSSSSS) with 265's up front, and 325's in the back, Z06 sway bar in front. They're michelin pilot's....that have pretty much seen better days.

The STIFF suspension, worn tires, and the power the car makes is pretty much the reason for the sideways action. New tires, and a clutch setup are not far away at all.

Anyways, all that nonsense said....the day we have a local ammature drift contest,...i'm gonna enter it,....and walk away with a trophey. No E brake needed.

See ya.

Sounds great, but I wouldn't trust the conditions of any road. all it takes is one small spot of oil or dirt and you could hurt some one. Oh and their is a chance it could be some one I love. Save it for the track and all will be good. I see you post a lot and I don't want to slam you but if you think about it, and read your post from the outside, you will at least see why I replied this way... Sounds like you can drive good try the track. Good luck!

Just put 4.10s in mine and that coupled with the cool weather has me dancing with this damn car all day. My car will blow the tires off in the first three gears and get a piece of 4th. Imagine driving in snow and that pretty much is what its like driving this thing. I have no idea how I am going to drive this at the track. I can't use full throttle until I am well into 4th. I was just cruising in 3rd, I roll into the throttle and she is sideways. Need to be very careful like you said you can be ready 95% of the time and you will still get got. I put my 04GT into a wall last year doing highway stunts.

J, you crazy bastard. The ability of these cars...even with the lateral springs...to straighten themselves up is amazing. You can get them out of whack pretty damn good and they will pop back. Most people over correct and end up fighting the car into wreck. I was beside a S/C C5Z the other day (he was one lane over), and I had to move to the right one lane for a narrowed street from a light. MY car will do OK on the 305s straight, but he was ready to go, I hit the nitrous and had to turn the wheel...which leads to some really cool looking dancing and *** swinging...probaly made the people behind us **** their pants, and I had to let off before I got too close to the other Vette.

Jamie, if you end up in some damn F&F III, Florida Drift movie, I'm coming for you!

knock that **** off or we will be seeing you on the news....hopefully not covered in a white sheet.

Seems like you are putting a lot of trust with your life in the hands of road conditions and the underpaid laborers that maintain them. Sometimes overconfidence in your car's limits can put you six feet under.

Sprayjunkie, antiqik, and bigron,...glad to see you all understand where i'm coming from with this.

Experience in these situations is priceless.

All you others...I full understand where your coming from. I'm well aware of the "things" that could happen. I do them in the best possible situations, with little if any cars near by. Call it what you will, call it what you'd like. The day I stop driving this way on the street, is the day I become a proffesional race car driver.

Until then, deez nuts. I'm well aware of my cars capabilities,...still learning mine. The first corner I speak of,....I simply went in a little too hot, quickly gained control of the situation, and steered out of it.

The second, well, maybe it was a little fast but, I'm well aware of how to take a corner, I know to go as close to the inside as possible,...I did, doing this allowed me to power/drift slightly out and into the second lane which I was well aware there was nobody there....(note for the dipshits* know your suroundings when driving at high rates of speed)....again, this situation was well within the cars capabilities...and seemingly mine. Soo...I fight another day/corner.

Next, the WOT blast in fth gear, and my car steps out. Thats my fault cause why, I was going that fast? Or cause I was at WOT? Which is it. Cause let me tell you, if I hit it in a lower gear, at a lower speed,....the situation could have been much more hectic.

I appreciate your concerns but.................................

I'm not loosing sleep over peoples opinions.

Oh yeah, well I've got money that says in the next few months, you run into money problems and have to resort to giving men oral pleasure just to buy your girl a happy meal. In the end, you discover a hidden talent and make it big.

Hows that for a random happy thought?

Thanks for yours, hope you enjoyed mine.

Go out and get em tiger.

I hear you man. Lack of traction sucks. 4.10's have gotta be nuts.

Clutch/tires/fuel pump and my DTE brace will be going on hopefully at once. Soon.

I'll be taking it somewhat easy till then.

...and you've obviously mistaken me for someone that gives a ****. Chump.

For the record, people that make comments about another person,...saying they're gonna get into an accident, or wishing it on someone, is, well, somewhat immature, or just plain and simple, a complete *******. If you were out in a public place, and made a comment like that, chances are it would have had a more livid response then simple words typed behind the safety of a computer.

Your opinion, is your opinion, voice it when you choose, personally, I don't give a **** what you think.

It's not really something i'm into bro but, if I was at a place,...and they had some kind of drift thing setup...i'd do it in a heart beat.

I'll be careful man.

Wouldn't you know it. Yesterday,...i'm driving my car, probably for the first time ever like if there was a cop in my passenger seat next to me. Anyways, I was pretty much driving like an old lady. I pull up to a light.....sputtter, sputter, pop pop.....check engine light.

So,...that said,....thats the last time i'm ever gonna drive my car normal.

Real tire? You think I don't have access to tires? Ha. Anytime I need them I have access to drag radials, 17's and 18's....and also a CCW drag pack with slicks.

Soo.... you just let me know on that.

If I have traction issues...which I usually do,...i'll catch you on the big end even with my bald tires.

Clutch is my downfall now, i'm not going anywhere on it, nor will I be able to win a race due to it's slippin/sticking. Soon, i'll get it. I had plans to order it today but,...things change.

I'm usually always out man,....still haven't seen you. As far as racing me off spray, which I know thats what you wanna do.....like I said before man...I'm kinda into the run what you brung thing.....as in, heads up....

......when my clutch is in,...you'll know it. Come see me then.

Later man.
