budget 383 numbers
Well after losing the stock shortblock on my new to me h/c Z I built a 383 shortblock and reused the old h/c stuff with a new cam. Car has CNC ls6 heads, comp XER 238 242 cam, ported tb, slightly ported ls6 intake, lg pros w/cats, Borla stingers, Haltec CAI, SVO 30's, 3.90 gears, etc.
The shortblock consists of the origional ls6 block, ARP head and main studs, Clevite, Durabond and ACL bearings, .005" over Mahle pistons, Compstar rods and Eagle crank. I ended up with 11.8 SCR and around 8.4 DCR with GM MLS headgaskets and the pistons ~.010" out of the hole for .045" quench.
The old h/c numbers were 445whp 403wtq. New numbers are 483whp and 445wtq on 92 octane with a Speed Inc. tune. I can't wait to see what a ported 90/90 setup will do without the cats. I'd like to see 500+ and that seems very possible. The car is a handfull in the cool temps with the newfound power

sounds like you have a 515/480 combo in the future with ported 90/90
fread beans pontiac a forum vendor on corvette forum is selling brand new LS2 90's for $281 shipped
www.s2performance.net send your tb to him, he just did mine, i dont have dyno numbers yet, but from what i can see his ported tb is the best. he ports them all the way thru to the back, unlike many that just port the front opening. btw, shanner will and can port a fast 90 as well. although he has no dyno numbers to back up his work.
lt1dave is doing ported fast 90's for $895 shipped, at least he did mine for that much.

Nice numbers. You went to tune with a cam only black FRC correct? I've met him through a buddy who has an '03 EB Z06. Hopefully someday I'll get to look at the car. It's gotta be a beast.

I figured that about had to be you. Not to many stroker Z06's here in lA. I'm taking my car over to FLP next week to get it tuned. I'd like to see 440+rwhp. These old Absolute Speed heads flow pretty well, so we'll see if they have it in them. Hopefully next summer you'll be around so we can take a look at your car or better yet get a ride in it.
