Z51 c6 cam with no change in track results
I have a C6 Z51 that ran 12.0's and 12.1s before I put a cam in the car. I stayed shifting the car 6500 before the cam and now I am shifting at 6800 with my new cam making peak at 6500. I have been to the track 4 times since putting the cam in and have run no better than 12.0's and 12.1's and my MPH before and after cam has been 116.6-117. Like I said I can put the timeslips against one another and they are identical. I have been told I should put gears in the car, but i am not so sure. Not sure because of the steeper gear in the tranny already and the fact I have seen no mph gain, but also must consider the power band being moved up. I have re dynoed the car several times and made sure all tm was removed. At this point would you guys put the gears in the car. went from 390 to 450rwhp.
