Yeah...there's gotta be alot more to it than what the witness typed.

Sad deal though, insurance co. will make sure he gets a new one and jack up his premiums

Oops!

For the price of the car, I'd be surprised if they actually total it. A local dealership told me a story of a wrecked suburban. It was involved in a pretty serious accident and had severe frame damage. They had to replace the frame itself, which was several thousand bucks. Point is that the price of cars has gotten so high that totalling vehicles isn't as common as it used to be - they cost less to repair.

"Yeah, we'll just go ahead and replace the entire body, x-pipe back of the exhaust it's warped now...rearend and tranny are pretty warped now due to the heat of the fire as well...oh yeah the frame is kinda bent back here so we better just staighten her back out." - body shop

HAHAHA...good gettin rid of that thing, I sure hope they total it for that dude's sake and the resale of it! There's gotta be TONS of crap wrong with it now in the assend
