Yeah thats what I am wondering. I know wolfe sells cages for vettes but which one would be necessary for 9 second 1/4 passes? Not a convertible but a hardtop.

NHRA rules I am sure would state whats actually needed. I think it's an 8 point, with parachute. I would go there to check for sure.

Wolfe, may make them.

The minimum is 6 or 8 point in that it must protect the driver from any angle. You choose 6 or 8 depending on the materials used for the main hoop.

Other general information...

Some NHRA rules in Table format

I'd make a couple passes, get a 9, then get kicked out before I'd stick a cage in my Corvette

Wow. How many of those actually apply to a C5? For example, 'Driveshaft Loop', 'Auto Trans Flexplate Shield', 'Transmission Shield', etc. Either the C5 does not have it or I have never heard of one made in the last 9 years.

Im pretty sure you will need a 10 pnt. It must have the over head bars, front down bars and door bars. They must also tie into the frame. This is what I was told when I got my cage.
