Default 2006 Corvette 402ci

Just thought I'd share with you guys a few pictures of the 2006 C6 we have right now. The car started off as a completely stock 3400 mile C6 and we replaced the stock LS2 with:

A new 402ci Rotating assembly, Trick Flow Heads, 233/239 Comp Cam, & Fast 90 MM Intake. This swap is usually a two week process...

When we first recieve the car, we obviously remove all of the old equiptment and start assemblying the new. The actual labor for removing/installing the motor/trans and longblock assembly takes 2 days. We usually warm up the engine over a period of 4 days before dyno-tuning the car. That is where the 2 week part comes in. In addition to the motor/trans, the FAST intake does take some time for fitment. You do have to notch out the firewall and install a new fiberglass section so that the rear of the manifold will not touch the firewall. Of course we finished off the exhaust with Kooks 1 3/4" headers, 3" off-road X, and a Corsa Catback Exhaust.

Why such small headers on such a large engine? Wouldn't the 1 7/8 headers work alot better?

Nice build though, wish I had the ca$h to blow....

Looking good!

Keep in mind guys that customers generally determine what mods get done
to a car. If it were up to shop owners/workers, every car would leave making
1000+rwhp. Perhaps the customer wanted 1 3/4" headers?

Actually this was an unfortuante situation. The car came in for heads/cam/headers, etc and when we tore down the motor there was a bad cam bearing in the engine for whatever reason. The owner decided to go all out with it instead of that. The headers were already here so we just used those. It wasnt planned that way otherwise we would've stepped up to 1 7/8ths

I convinced myself to do an auto swap after burning up a syncro in my T-56 and a new motor over a broken valve spring. hehehe

Let us know what kind of power that 402 makes.
