Default C6 Z06r

I have seen pic of the new Z06r and now I am torn between this and the NA 427 Z06.Will the price be the same for both cars? And which is better?

Is the Blue Devil for real and if it is when will it be hitting the market?

So this blue devil is the 6.2 with supercharger? Cause if it is there is no way I will pay 100k for that as I think the regular vets are rumored to get upgraded to the 6.2 along with H.S.V cars all no supercharger of course but if the regular 6.2 engine is used wouldnt that make the Z06 cheaper or same price as 427 even with super charger thrown in? Where does the extra cost come from?It should not be 30k more expensive I think by the sounds of things the 427 car sounds to be not only a better deal but a superior car I mean anyone can stick a supercharger on a engine.(Vortech now has one for LS7)
And it must be nice to say my car has the worlds largest production small block.

im sure the higher hp engine wont be there only change if they do make it (suspension, body/hood, rear, trans etc.) - i read it was planned to be for 08 ... also read of a " super t56" to go along with it... dont know how accurate this is but this is the same magazine that had secret info a few months ago on a super huge bore/ mostrerous headed ls = then new lsx from gm.

As much as a ricer comment this may be, unless they upgrade the suspension and tranny and do a lot of body style changes/rediculous wheels then get a 427 and toss the 30K into it and it will smoke the z06r IMO

That is true, but just because someone bought a $30k cheaper car, doesn't mean that they have $30k laying around to put into the car.

Plus, with the blue devil, it would most likely be really easy to up the HP with pulley swaps, and all those other things that give you big gains with supercharged engines for cheap. I'm also sure Kenne Bell will make a supercharger for it, or you could turbo it, and you would have 700-1000 or more rwhp. I'm thinking the blue devil would be worth the extra $30k.

I think kbiis is a ***. Then that guy with the Z06 would pass you up in your blue devil because they payed $30,000 in mods including ricer stripes.

Right but im responding to the original poster who was debating getting the na 427 z06 or the z06r, so he should have the additional 30K if he is looking at both. I agree though that it would be easier to mod with the supercharger already in place, but if thats a majority of what your getting (besides a limited edition car as Im sure they wont be making a ton of them) then I dont think its worth it if you plan to mod the car. Now if they are talking about tossing on some HRE wheels, nice body kit, even more kick-*** suspension, plus the supercharger then that would be different.

probably true, but...it wouldn't have the 5yr/100,000 mile warranty though either. Definitely something to consider! If I could afford the new SC'd vette, that's what I'd get. You can't beat having GM pay for anything you break...for 5 years, and still have 650HP on tap that will absolutely destroy 99% of the cars on the road.

Warranty? I have never heard of that. haha Just kidding. I, personally, wouldn't keep either one of them stock.
