Congrats on the new ride. What do you mean by tips? My first tip is to drive victoriously, and the second would be not to crash.

That is what I would ask as well. If you want to know problem areas I can pass that info on.

Exhaust is not to bad depending on how far you want to go. The best route would be headers, x pipe, and a catback. As for the catback you can do that by yourself in the driveway with a really high jack. The worst part is getting the stock mufflers off in one piece. If it is a normal C5 I would just cut the pipes to make it easier. Headers get a little more involved, but ls1howto.com has a good article on that.

2001 Z06 here.

I started off with a CAI (MTI Ram air) and went 13.0 @ 109 with a 2.3 60'. After 1 7/8 Kooks headers, home tuning, ASP Pulley, and a little better weather I ran 11.84 @ 117.83 with a 1.775 60' on stock tires.

I bought the pulley used for 100 bucks and the headers used for 750. The HPT software and LM-1 wideband cost me around 700 bucks, but I was able to split the cost with 2 buddies that have LSx cars.

Biggest thing is practicing launches at the strip.

Prolly will not get noticed by my friends on here who I want to surprise in person, but in two hours I go to pick up my new ride! Here is the new signature picture to be changed tonight:

The wife gets her SS back.

Now we'll have the "Ghost" and the "Darkness"...
