C6 track results
C6 track results I finally got to make some passes in the new car, & I'm fairly impressed considering I haven't raced a manual in 4 or 5 yrs. I made 4 passes with the best being a 12.57 @ 114.8 with a lousy 2.0 short time. I was surprised by the mph, that's in the low 12 high 11 range once I get some more seat time. The wheel hop @ the 1 to 2 & 2 to 3 shift is horrible, on the 12.57 pass I let completely out of 2nd twice to control it! I'm hoping some DR will solve the problem. BTW the car is an 07 Z51 6spd with an airbox & a 160 tstat. I'm thinking without the wheelhop I could've got a low 12.40 or a high 12.30!
Aric, have you had the fan settings reprogrammed yet? It will run 3-4 tenths quicker if you keep the coolant temps under 200F.

I've had the fan temps turned down & the skip shift turned off but no power tuning of any kind. So the DR will solve the wheel hop issues huh? I also got it while doing a burnout, so I never really got the tires hot. I think with a better short time & no wheel hop I could've been 2 tenths quicker. I'll never know because I've got LT headers now, so I'm shooting for the 11's with DR.

Nice times. You should post it over at corvetteforum.com in the C6 tech section. There's a list of 1/4 mile times for C6's all over the country. It's good to get as many times as possible. Yours is one of the higher mph I've seen for a near stock car.

were you there on friday. If so I saw you and the car looks good. I was in the pewter c5. I had a decent nite, but only got one pass in. if you juys go again send me a message and I will show up. always love the track.
I just glad that some Vette owners drag race their cars at all. I love the looks I get from telling " other Vette owners " yea I just got back from the track with the car! Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!
