Default Its all starting to spin..........

Wow,.. Ive been reading these threads for years getting prepared I don't want to burden this question with too much B.S. sooo,.....here's where I'm at, I have the "99"F.R.C. Ive done everything to support the mods that I'm doing right now (head/cam) and I'm also swapping out the LS1 manifold with the LS6 now in the LS1 how to. com the guy just "plugs" one of the two hoses, well the hose that he "plugs up is on of the emission related hoses and I just cant do this!!! (I live in Washington state) (worse than California!) so what do I do??? Upgrade the "charcoal can" to what?? and what about the P.C.V. plate under the "Vally" the last thing that I heard was that It wasn't worth the trouble to upgrade to the LS6 P.C.V. plate and just put a "catch can" on. I have a whole bunch of other questions but this is enough for one "thread. thank you for all the years of good advice and due diligence.

I would just end the confusion and switch the plate out. I think you can find one for like 60 bucks in the for sale section. I have one laying around here it is not my intention to sell it, but if you are stuck and only stuck I would consider selling mine for the 60. Do a search in the parts for sale.

Mike,..dude thanks,.....This is my first "thread" and I'm stoked that you would help! I guess what your saying is that I should In fact replace the plate. if that is the way I should go then that's what I will do! I hope that I wont need to do both the plate AND the "catch can" but we all do what we must, and I will, I already have access to a LS6 P.C.V. plate I just didn't know if It was necessary. What most of the jitters were about is the manifold swap, and the options with the "plumbing" and the vacuum can. I still must TRY to pass emissions.

Hey I dont want to mislead you in this thread. What I meant was if it was as simple as changing the plate and a re-route of some external hoses I would take that route. I have never had my hands inside the LS1 intake not familiar with it and its hoses. I would head over to LS1/LS6 internal threads you will find more people with F-bodys that have converted. Good Luck

Gotcha, I think that I'm going to go with the legendary hot-rod warrior priest, Thomas Wong, He's down in Portland Oregon, I know that the F-Body hook-up can be very different in some applications I've done everything myself so far but now Its getting very technical so far Ive lowered my temps, Big twin flow intake I went with the Bassani ceramic coated Lng. Tube headers with the bassani hy-flow cats and big X-Pipe with the B&B big twin, bullets. All kinds of other stuff like bilstien Z-51 shocks and the magna cores with cool-socks. I swear at first I thought that I would do the head and cam myself as Ive done a couple but that was thirty years ago and boy-howdy how things have changed. thanks for you kind help and If and when I finish I will post the results!!
