Default LG Pro Long Tubes and now American Racing Long tubes

Anybody here have any issues with these as far as clearance goes or any other problems for that matter?

I had no issues with mine other than they caused a dramatic decrease in fuel economy.......but my lead foot didn't have anything to do with that at all.

I live in Kuwait gas prices are the least of my concerns. (.50 a gallon 93 octane, $1 for 100 octane) LMAO. From what I hear money can't buy better I just have to deal with a lot of damn speed bumps and I was miserable with long tubes in my t/a.

I have LG Pro's and they are the ****!!! I picked up 40 RWTQ from 2500-4500 RPM's vs. TPIS LT headers. Definately worth the money!! I have some clearance issues but I have lowered my car quite a bit. I don't care though, they perform great.

Well that puts a smile on my face! How much did you lower your car if you don't mind me asking?

I have them and mine is lowered around an inch. Every so often the back bolts of the clamps might scrape. Other then that I'm fine.

My LG's are great. No clearance issues but my car is not lowered. As for MPG make sure you get a tune. With my mods I increased MPG except when I get on it.....but who cares?

Well just got an email from a and a corvettes and they stopped selling the LG headers so i opted for the American Racing headers instead. Andy told me they were just as good if not better. Any opinions?

Got the LG Pros; if i hadda do it again I'd probably go American Racing simply for fact that LG's have 6 slip-fit/clamp joits, AR's only 2.

I'm guessing they are all about the same in power, may as well go for fit.

No clearance problems with the LG's.

from what I am reading is there is not much difference between the two and looking at pics. I guess my main concerns are 1 performance and 2 clearance.

I have heard a ton of good things about AR headers. I went with the tried and proven performance gains of the LG's though. I was thinking about doing a side by side dyno comparison of the two but I am going to build a FI motor soon and didn't want to spend the money. I don't think you can go wrong either way but the LG's are awsome.

Sounds good. When I get them in I will post the gains. I will get it dynoed after the header install before I put the heads and cam in so we can get a comparison of the two.

Car's slammed, no issues with my LG's. However, I do have a small scrape mark on them from when I pulled inside my shop a little too fast. But, that was my fault. Other then that, no issues. I'd highly recommend a tne to go with it. Since you live outta the country, you may want to go with a handheld tuner, after useing several brands, I hghly recommend Diablosport. They have multiple tunes of mine on file with a stock LS1 and long tubes only. With the combo, you'd be happy.

You get what you pay for....you bought a vette for a reason right? Otherwise you would still be in a F body....no offense to f body people, great car but different. Step it up...order for LG directly, you can talk with Lou. He makes a top notch product and keeps coming out with new things for vettes. Support those who directly support our habbit and get race quality and performance!

Already ordered the AR not because of money just mainly because of convenience. Also for Vseries I am using hptuners right now and its working out for me. I guess we will see how the AR's do I guess if they aren't good enough I will sell them and buy some LG's but I will give them a chance first.
