C4 question....what do these lights do?
C4 question....what do these lights do? I know its not a C5, but Im not a member of any Vette forums so maybe you guys can help me.
My boss has a 94 Vette and we noticed last week that it has lights up front on the side of the bumper that werent working, so we put in new bulbs, and they still didnt work. But after closer examination we realized that we didnt even know what these lights were for. Not the blinkers, hazards, backup, or anything
The ones in front of the orange spot. They are a white bulb also.

did you try the parking lights? on C5s, there are DRLs that are only on with parking lights.
I know on some higher end cars the light in that general area is to light up the area around that corner of the car when the blinker is turned on, but if it dosent turn on with the blinker Im at a loss. By the way what color were the bulbs that you pulled out. There dosent seem to be a blinker on that side for the front, so maybe if its an amber bulb its supposed to be a blinker but its broke.

The amber spot there is the blinker. The bulbs that go in the clear area, the area in question, are white.
Even though these dont work they dont cause any problems of any kind, so heh.

Here is the answer... The cornering lamps, located on the side of the front fascia, provide more light in the direction of a turn. When the headlamps or parking lamps are "ON," moving the turn signal lever will turn the appropriate cornering lamp "ON" as well as activate the turn signals.
