Default Cartek clutch

Does anyone have one in a C5? If so what do you think? I need a clutch now.Plans are to get heads, cam, and intake down the road,so I want one that will hold up.

Over 800rwhp and 850rwtq here.

And it drives just like a stock Z06 clutch. No issues whatsoever.

Thumbs up

I'm an 'automatic guy' but I have driven three or four C5s with the Cartek clutch and it truly is a good set up, holds the power, stands up to slipping when needed and feels as streetable as stock.

As stated above, we offer a very nice setup. Shoot me a PM or give me a call if you have any questions.

I have one in mine, great clutch. Has never slipped on me. Put it in when the 427 went in. It's been holding up just fine, my car just made 702rwhp/767rwtq so its holding some power. Really though feels stock, It does take a little getting used to cruise through a parking lot or love a stop light normal. I would definetly buy there set up again.

I have one in my f-body and love it. People who have driven the car commented on how good the clutch feels. I have also driven in several of heads/cam C5s running it as well.

Cool, thanks guys,Max,I talked to Dave the other day about doing one.Im new to the Corvette LS1,so just trying to get some feedback.Im not sure how far Im going with this car.I would like to do heads, cam and intake down the road, and if I get a clutch I want one thats going to hold up.I would be doing the H/C now but Im building a new motor for my Turbo Buick,so its sucking alot of cash up now.But I have to get a clutch in this thing, its hit or miss with it.I will flat shift it and sometimes it hits hard and blows the tires away, other times it smokes the clutch.

The clutch doesn't take much load when you blow the tires away. It's when you are hooking that the clutch will see the most. The times you are hooking the best are probably the times you smoke the clutch. Possibly also from repeated slipping too. The build up heat may cause it to slip in a situation that it had not previously.

This is the clutch we put in our cars and it's seen way more abuse than what H+C can throw at it.

When my car was an M6 with a 415cid Cartek motor I also ran the Cartek clutch and made a few hundred 5000rpm launches and a ton of street driving with one problem .
