Default Yargggghhh.... what to do

Me and my wife went by the local chevy dealership today and we looked at the new c6's and 3 c6z's.... We figured out after some quick number crunching that we can pull them off within the next few months... so do I buy the z and be broke. buy a z51 and put the h/c etc that was going on the c5 in it. or keep the c5 and just be happy.

I really liked the 07 lemans blue z that I got to sit in today... it was in the showroom, so we couldnt start it.

i guess it depends on how broke you want to be. You can do the l92/l76 stuff for under 50 grand including the car and make just as much hp or more than a z

I'd either mod your C5 or buy a used C6Z. Why pay a premium to buy new?

look for a used c6Z, wont be a bad investment in the long run, the original buyer will lose the most... dont mod it heavily, drive it and enjoy....

Find a used C6Z. Most have no miles on them.

Or, C6 with a supercharger and wheels is a good option.

if i was going to spend that kind of money, i'd go with the z... no questions asked. poke around and try to find a low mileage used one.

My thoughts.

You can make the C6 or any vette smoke the C6 Z06...but, without a warranty and roughly 4k to 20k

JDogg is dead on!!!
Get a used C6 from a non-modder, 20K miles for low $30Ks, and install a ProCharger (6-8psi) with headers and B&Bs, and you will beat a C6Z.

Stay out of debt as much as possible man! If you're going to put yourself in a financial crunch, the stresses from it WILL effect you and your family life, I guarantee it! Been there done that! And I don't mean that you have to pay cash for everything either, just don't put yourself in a bind, or everything around you will suffer. Mod what you have, get some more cash set aside, and look next year if your heart is on the Z. It'd be nice to have a newer Z AND have the 5yr/100,000mi warranty to boot. Just some food for thought. GL with your decision!

Stay low on debt.

The federal reserve has raised interest rates in 17 progressive hikes!!! The economy is just starting to crest for a quick cycle. You'll be glad you don't have those C6 notes (base or Z).

Having a C5 is something many people wish for...you have one everyday!

Did you know Skoggin-Dickey is selling 440+ cube assembled shortblocks for 7 grand these days? With some heads/few drivetrain parts you'd *really* have something.
