Default How low can I go?

I lowered my 2002 z06 pretty much as far as it will go on stock bolts and bushings, about 5 turns in the rear and 4.5 in the front, probably ~half an inch. It looks pretty good but could stand to be a tiny bit lower, and I'm not having too much trouble driving in and out of where I need to. The question is how much lower can I go before I start to compromise suspension performance? The lower control arms are parallel to the ground right now.

Anything past ~1-inch begins to cause problems. If you want it low without compromising suspension performance, you'll probably want to look at coilovers.

Dont go any lower than that, it has caused me a lot of problems in the past.

I did the same. You're right in that it won't cause problems in normal driving, but it creates some funky handling quirks if you AX or track the car.

Bushings cut and lowered all the way on my '01 Z06 without any problems. An occasional scrape here and there on the air dam but that can be swapped out every so often for $50. Nothing beats the look of a dropped Z

Well, on saturday I tried to remove the front bolts to cut some of the bushing off, but it ended up being alot more involved than I anticipated so I'm going to just let it be as is. It would have been nice to get the car perhaps 1/4 inch lower but I'm not going to worry about it, especially as some people are echoing my fears of compromising the performance of the car.
