Default A4 Frc??
Was there an A4 equipped FRC Corvette made? I have only seen M6 cars and was wondering if the 4L60E made it into them. If so, could any owners post pics,1/4 times,vids, or any other info about them. Thanks.

I have been looking for one for about the last 3 months and i am pretty sure they only come with a 6 speed.

it was not a factory installed option, FRC's only came with a manual transmission.

There are people who have swapped in an auto, to the Z06 versions,

They were all mn6 cars.... People have done the swap... it requires a lot of parts and cash though

Ok, thanks guys. Reason for asking was a friend wants a Corvette, and ever since I got an A4 SS, we are both sold on auto cars. He loves the FRC and Z06, but cant afford a Z, so an FRC is what he's looking for. Thanks again.

All of the FRC cars came with 6-speeds, black interiors, fixed antennas, and typically very few options. In '99 there were about 4,000 made and they all had Z51 suspension. In 2000 there were only about 2,000 FRCs. After that all Hardtop Corvettes in 2001 - 2004 were Z06s.

Actually you would be surprised in that there are a lot of people looking to swap out M6 for A4. There have been several people that I know of that have swapped out parts with one another. The price was only shipping of the parts and labor. Overall cost I believe was around $1K.

IMO my built A4 with a 3800 stall and 3.90 gears is more fun than any M6 I have driven.
