Default 02-04z vs 05z51

pretty much had my mind made up that i wanted a 02-04 z....but i really like the looks of the c6 and the interior looks like chevy stepped up a notch mainly the seats that get so commonly broken down in the c5 cars....any z owners regret selling off and buying a c6.....i think they should be close in speed as the z51 400hp and the m12 tranny....do you guys think it would be worth the extra ~~5k for the newer vette and updated interior/motor?

I can answer a couple of your questions
5/100K warranty began '07
Z51 package is upgraded suspension, and I believe the tranny gearing is a little different for improved acceleration. The other options simply deal with some of the creature comforts ie HUD, sound, safety, electric and heated seating etc...

Someone else can chime in on the rest.

Good luck with your decision as I'm faced with the exact same scenario.

The 2LZ things are the "extras" like mentioned before. I think the 2lz comes with the navigation and stereo upgrade (i think) and other pointless things and the 1lz or whatever doesnt. As for performance the cars are going to be pretty identical stock vs. stock. Ive driven both and love both but i would take the C5Z over the C6 Z51 anyday.

The C5Z is loud and rides rough, and you can hear every little thing that goes on in it. The C6Z51 is kinda rough riding but actually pretty comfortable, and its pretty quiet on the inside, and lastly the stock exhaust is way too quiet, for me atleast.

I guess the way i describe these cars is that the C5Z is one crazy son-of-a-bitch, and the C6 Z51 is your everyday cruiser but still fast as ****, IMO.
