base model c6 with hud

base model c6 with hud Is it possible to add heads up display to a no option vette? I am thinking about buying one but I dont want to pay the price for all those other features. I just want HUD. If I have to have all the options to get it I will probubly skip it.

Nope. It's not like the C5 model where it was an after thought. The cluster is different on a non hud C6 compared to a C6 with HUD. So far since the car first came out, I an only think of 1 car that has HUD put into it and it was a ton of work. Search over on corvette forum.

I had the same thought...everyone I spoke with said that it was a huge PITA though...It should be an option with the base model IMO!

I thought the HUD was gimmicky in my C6. The gauges in a Corvette are very nice, no need for the HUD. When watching the tach, it is easier to anticipate the sweep of a tach needle, not a cheesy bar graph on the windshield.
Also, if you wear polarized sunglasses, the HUD looks crappy.

K Thanks for the answers. I will prob end up getting a base model with no options...or a BMW 335I coupe used. I am still working on my wife but I am making progress.
