C5 Z06 as a DD?

I daily drive my 02 Z06 in the summer, even in rush hour traffic. Fun car. But a T56'd 4th gen is a blast too. I've been driving the Project Pinks Camaro here and there, and it has a T56 and 4.10 gears, and it's a blast to push around.

My Z06 wasn't my DD initially, then my DD was totalled (guy ran a red light). Its ok for some people, but I don't really go for the idea of a 30k toy and a POS daily driver. With that in mind, I didn't feel like dropping 10-15k on a DD so I decided to start driving the vette. No big deal. I've packed on about 10k miles in 7-8months or so.
The only bad part about driving the vette is parking lots, stray baskets, and inconsiderate bastards that slam doors into you. Other than that its great driving around all the time.

Wait 'til someone throws a lit cigarette on your 2 stall parking beauty. According to the majority, if you take up 2 spaces, even if its away from everyone, it entitles a$$holes to do whatever they want to your car, because you asked for it

Aint that the truth.
We have a guy that works for another company in our building with a new twinturbo porsche that parked sideways and took up 2 stalls, My boss and another engineer blocked him in 3 times already. I guess he finally learned, he now parks right next to my vette on the line no less since he knows I won't hit his door.
I haven't met him yet but it is an awesome looking car.

Man I still don't know what to do. By the time I put money into my car I could buy a c5 z06, but at the same time I like targa tops and the 05-07s, but the c6 is almost 10k more than a c5 z06 and that's too rich for my blood. Also the aftermarket for the 05-07 are probably going to suck ***** since the LS2 has been replaced with the LS3 already.
I emailed a guy with an 03 EB 50th Anniv. z06 with a possible trade+cash earlier today. He wants $28k for the car with a few mods and a small cam with almost 60k on the clock.
What to do, what to do...

It's a seller's market (we're almost at the peak of the spring fever) for the next 1-2 months and then the demand will soften, that's when the prices will take it's next increment downward.
PSJ, if you're selling your Zo6, now's the time. (most opportunity/money)

Instead I found this mint '01 with 43k miles... I'm picking it up tomorrow, ($25.2k, private party sale-no tax)
