Lifting body off subframes, any suggestions?

Default Lifting body off subframes, any suggestions?
Doing a cam, intake manifold, header and clutch install on a blown 99 coupe this weekend. Never had the body off before but figured that since we are using a lift, might as well unbolt the front and rear subframes and leave everything on the floor. I know there have been some people that have done this, so if anyone that has can chime in and give any tips/hints, it would be greatly appreciated.

I tried searching but search is down right now...would you guys set it on blocks of wood or would you use those rolling crates?

There is a book that has pics of this done and lays out the steps...I found mine at Borders, Looks like this

I just went and bought it...thanks. Looks like it covers it pretty well and it looks pretty straightforward.

It comes down super easy I've had mine down twice this month. Id rather from the bottom than through the top any day.

Bob....that helps quite a bit. Do have any other tips that one may need or is it pretty straight forward? I planned on using some of those wheeled crates to set it on, I dont have more than 2 jacks....should I set the whole assembly on jack stands?

The wheeled crates make it nice if you need to move the assembly around. It is pretty straight forward once you get going on it. Bob

Default Watch out for all the little grounds
Pay attention to all the little ground wires.

Also of you do not disconnect the brake lines at the brack like in the pictures, pull the rear half shafts and leave the brake lines connected.

Having a lift makes it really nice.
