The 2008 Z06 is basicly the same car performance wise as the 2007 model..the LS7 is still the power plant under the hood..

I'm not a big fan of the wheels, but I am a HUGE fan of the new models rolling out... Just means those 05-07s will be dropping a little more into my ballpark.

The new Key fob is just plain cool. The new wheels are Ok. to the simulated carbon fiber interior trim. Looks cheesy as hell. Way to bring it strong there GM.

I like the Simulated carbon fiber trim. I think it really spruces up the interior. Another vote againt the wheels though. Atleast the other ones are still available.

It looks much better than the silver painted plastic that simulated brushed aluminum on the 05-07 cars .. .. Keep in mind that for all of the folks that want less vynal and more leather you can have the dash board, consol, and door panels leather covered now with the 4LT optoin group which includes all of the content of the 3LT .. ($8005 in the coup and $8600 in the convertible) ..some people will like the upgraded interior package ... but I could care less about the buttons and bells and more leather ... if it doesn't make it go faster it is dead weight to me..

LS3 = 430 HP/424 ft lbs tq is the coup and convertible engine with optional NPP Performance exahaust cat back 436 HP..it is very similar to the Z06 cat back with the flaps that open at 3600 rpms for freeer flowing exhaust producing another 6 HP ... this systemn is in 2 1/2 inch diameter pipe where the Z06 is 3 inch exhaust pipe..suggested retail for the NPP exhaust is $1195...seems to me to be overpriced for 6 HP..you would be better off buying an after market cat back with a better sound and higher production of HP for that kind of money..

Performance wise ..meaning it will be no faster than the 06 and 07 model..the steering has been improved too..I have driven both the 2008 coup and the Z06..you can tell a difference in the performance of the coup but the Z06 drives just like the last 2 years did..
