Default Dynoed my Z06, low numbers.

Just got it dynoed yesterday on a DynoJet. It's 100% bone stock. I am a little concerned with my numbers, just wanted some opinions. The car has 6,400 miles, it's an 04. Conditions were, 92 degrees, 33% humidity. I put down 349/344 my first pull, 346/342 my second pull. (hp/tq) I thought they dynoed a little higher. Any input would help.

You should feel good about those numbers. They are right in line with what an 02-04 z will dyno.

those are actually pretty good numbers. remember the 405 horse power rating is a flywheel rating and the dyno measures what the car actually puts down to the wheels after the drive terrain takes its portion.

with a normal 15% driveline loss... that puts you almost exactly to 405hp.

Those sound about right. Mine put down 354/340 with a corsa cat back, and 365/357 with some tuning.

Hows the fuel to air on the car? We found the car to be running really rich.

Original poster's numbers are in the normal range, as many have written.

Two tip for those wanting to not show abnormally low dyno numbers.

(1) make sure your coolant temp is in the 190-194 range, not above, when the hammer is dropped in 4th gear on the dyno. That will take management of the temp and a cool-down between pulls. If the coolant is high, the PCM will pull timing.

(2) make sure you hammer the car through the gears some within a few hours of going to the dyno. Consistently low numbers get produced by owners whose cars rarely see WOT.

I've heard from many people that the on board computers have a "memory" of sort that is profiled by the driver; that may be the reason for those who drive "nice and easy" are getting the lower dyno numbers, and those who tend to drive more aggressively will see higher numbers more often than not. I don't know any of this as a fact, but 3rd hand info. No matter, it still proves true.

Here is my dynograph: 355 (354.6)/349 (348.95)

The first run with the lower numbers was with a misfire on 3.
