Intake options I have a 97 ls1 vette and i'm looking for some intake options.I have a bbk throttle body and stock intake man...should i keep the bbk and get a ls6 intake man...or should i try the 90mm/ls2 intake ? is the fast 90 worth the money ? uh i have a full exhaust w/ long tubes and i'm running wet n2o...i plan on a 224/224 or so cam over winter
If you are planning on heads along with your cam - then the FAST/LS2 TB combo is the way to go
If you are going cam only - then just purchase a used LS6 intake, keep the BBK TB, or sell the BBK and port your stock TB. If you purhcase an LS6 intake you will also need the coolant line and the two block off plates to make the LS1 to LS6 intake conversion complete -- these can be purchased from Scoggin-Dickey (SDPC) or Thunder Racing. Just call them and tell them what you are doing and they will know what you need.
Also for furture reference I suggest an U/D pulley, an uprgraded LS6 oil pump, and a new dual roller timing chain, when you get ready to do the cam installation.

Ok so i think i'll just do U/D pulley, a ported LS6 oil pump, and a new dual roller timing chain, hardened push rods, lighter roller rockers, with ls6 intake, and maybe port/polish t/b.....what kind of power do you guys think i'll be making? I'd like to hit at least 400hp to the tires w/o nos then maybe 500hp with nos

I doubt you will hit 400 with a 224/224 cam only, most likely 380-390rwhp...

I think the roller rockers are a waste of money from the cost/gain perspective.
