Default '04 C5 Modded having 02 sensor issues

We think the guy who modded our car removed the rear o2 sensors. WE were told you could delete these from the computer, and supposedly have had it done, only to have the problems come back after x amount of miles.

Is there a tried and true way to remedy this issue? I've heard o2 sims and then heard you don't need them in 04 and above vettes.

Thanks!

The rear O2's can be deleted and if it was done, it would not come back. What problems are you having?

I just read in the other post you posted in and it said that you are having problems with it stalling at lights and idling too high in gear. Has the car been tuned? These are all things that can be altered in the tune. My car would die if i came up to a red light fast and pushed in the clutch, so I went back to the tuner and we drove around for about a 1/2 hour and he had his laptop hooked up and saw what was going on. He made a couple of adjustments to the tune and it took care of the problem. My guess is if it is tuned, the tuner may have messed up something in the tune.

If the 02's are properly tuned out, it is impossible for that code to come back, either they arent tuned out or maybe your poppin codes for the front 02's?

those symptoms to me sound like a air leak

try spraying brake cleaner to see if you can detect leaks with it running

Do you have any way of reading how they are sweeping? Anyone with a predator that you know for a late model GM? YOu could use that to scan it.

On that note,..check all of your 02 wires, for sensors 1 and 2. It sounds like a hot header, being close to a wire has worn the wire through,...or melted it completely. Most likely what happened, unless your tune is BUNK from the start.

If this is the case, you can fix this. But, sometimes it isn't super obvious, so, inspect the **** outta the wires, looking for any visible wire, or melted wire/loom.

Hope you find your problem.

Job one is to find a scanner, and see which one is sweeping funny.

peace.
