Default My new corvette,

I just bought a 2007 corvette which was new, i have already put about 3 or 4 hundred miles on it and i was wondering, how long does the break in period take, and when should i do my first oil change, thanks guys.

Congradulations on the Corvette. I still have a couple of months to go before I order mine. Any wa on to your question. Now I can't speak for Corvettes but an engine is an engine right and when I bought my Camaro I waited about 500mi before I started to really get on her. I also did an oil change and checked all other fluids to include the trans and diff at 500mi too.

The break in period is 3 years or 36000 miles....whatever comes 1st.

I waited 1000 miles on mine.

I was also told to vary the RPMs but keep it under 5500.
