Default is 500rwhp outta the ques. for an ls6?

hey guys just askin for some input...is it possible for me to hit or come damn close to 500rwhp outta my ls6 full bolt on? my best was 443rwhp on mustang dyno...my current mods are in sig...i still am getting trickflow 235cc heads...underdrive pulley and mezier electric wp...if there is anything i am missing let me know...i guess like the tb bypass lol whats that 1 hp? i think i am getting rid of the headers i got on there for kooks 1 7/8 but yea i guess the ques. is n/a do u guys think 500 is possible thanx...and i am also running the stock clutch but am leaning hard toward the textralia exo-skel...also if i was to run a 150 wet shot should i forge the bottom end or will i be ok stock(150 shot after i am full bolt on). i know i am kinda all over the place but any input would be appreciated. thanx

Getting to 500 on a NA motor is very possible.. might need a bigger cam though...

damn a bigger cam?!?! i thought i was pushin it with this one...also i dont wanna flycut...but this cam seems to rock...the cam loves to breathe which i kinda figured but when i picked up 33rwhp just from the fast 90/90 i was really surprised...hopefully will pick up 50 or so from some monster heads that should put me over only i have absolutely no faith in boltons like elec. water pump and underdrive pulley...i know they say approx. 10rwhp for each but im pretty sure i will only see about 8 total for both.

I'd go heads first and then see where you are at... If your just inches away you might try the pulley then WP..

As far as cams... there are bigger and no fly cutting required. Once you have the supporting hardware in (which you do) Going bigger isn't that expensive.

I'd also suggest checking out the Ls1/6 section of this forum and see what combos are getting 500hp na over ther.e

Don't get caught up in the 500#. As long as it runs strong and smooth with no issues you'll be happy. You don't want to do something unsafe just to hit the mark.
Or you can run it at the strip and see what kindof #'s it puts down.

Your heads are holding you back. Vengence in Atlanta has a H/C package using a cam similar to yours with Trick Floe heads and FAST intake. Highest documented was 521rwhp. Most are over the 500 mark.

Hi 1bigcamdls6,

Those 500 rwhp are accessible with a lot of attention.

My 2002 ZO6 sotck bottom end 346 Ci NA reached 511 rwhp and 455 rwtq SAE corrected on a Dynojet.

You can read how and what was done in my thread here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/648228-video-idle-plus-streetability-wot-my-511rwhp-fti.html

Let me know if you have questions, I will be glad to help.

I came close. More heads and I would have nailed it for sure. The only other thing that could be done to my car would be mill a bit more (58cc vs 59cc, some people go to 57cc) for more compression. Maybe upgrade to TFS 215's, or do some custom portwork on my afr 205's, but 490 rwhp 445 rwtq works for me. If Miami does the Meziere EWP he'd pick up a few more too. He has one of the strongest N/A ls6's ever.

See what I am saying, 490 rwhp isn't nearly as impressive as 511. LOL. J/k. Good luck on your N/a build.
