C5 vs SS camaro
In a 1/4 mile race you will probably get beat by the SS with LTs....if thats what youre trying to ask.

don't fear loosing... race for the thrill of it, you both have awesome cars...
Honestly if this was a dyno competition he's gonna win. There are alot of difference between our cars and the F-body...
so again... This is a driver's race.

Kinda depends on the race, I think we went from around 60mph, Slow enough for me to be in 2nd and pull hard right at the go, Then I stopped pulling and kept my 2 car lengths at about 110mph

My 253hp LT1(previous f-body) that ran 14.1 was overlapping the rear bumper of a LS2 goat...
I wouldn't even use the GTO as a comparsion...
are you asking us if your going to win or loose so your next question is what you need to give you the biggest advantage???
honestly anyone that has raced on the streets enough knows the streets bring alot of variables. You have two cars that are set up completly differently.. One should be making more power ( the ss) but the other has shape, weight, and suspension as advantages. you have an A4 whcih will eliminate any error on your end where he can miss a shift. But if he misses a shift you will hear the bitching.. hey i missed a shift lets do it again  So the race that will be the determining factor will be the one where he doesn't miss any shifts and doesn't completly blow off his tires... Assuming both work to his advantage it will be a close race.
The cheapest advantage i can think of for you would be to buy a vararam intake. (just bought mine for $280 shipped) or at the very least find out (go out and test) and see if your tires respond better to lower psi... If you can get some better traction and pull him outta the hole you should be able to at the very least hold him off for the whole 1/4. Make sure you know where the 1/4 is because he will probably be pulling on ya.

ALso cleaning your maf wouldn't be a bad thing to do before the race
No matter what configuration its going to be a close race. With the LTs on the SS he will gain lots of HP high in the RPM range preventing the C5 from picking up lost ground from the launch. IMO the SS will launch out 1 car on the Vette and hold that lead.
Keep us posted.
My buddy had the same setup as you with a 3.15 geared car(his is an 04) and went consistent 13.3's@104. Then he got some LG longtubes and a tune and the first pass he did a 12.6@110.

^^ there had to be a handful of other factors for that... .7 sec drop from LT's = no way..
EDIT: The A4 C5 went 12.7's on a CAI? I know they are fully capable of 12's stock, but its rare for an A4. Which gear option is in the car?
