My Cobra dyno'd at 372whp bone stock and with catback and Intake it made 404whp. I dont see a base C5 staying with a Cobra when you see a million stories on here of SS's, WS6's staying with or beating stock C5's. Ive ran SS's etc in my Cobra when at 404whp and it wasnt close. IMO in these races it all comes down to the driver. A few mods on the Cobra ($1K) and you'll need a Z06 to keep up (been there and done that) Lol, whith a KB or a Whipple which can be bought for like $22-2300 now you'll need a C6Z

People talk about the Terminators like they are gods. Dont get me wrong they can be made quick cheap but in stock form they are no faster than an '04 C5 M6 from a roll. From a dig to 110 the Cobra will win by 1-2 cars. I've raced these two cars more times than I can count and this is what happens.
You hear people talk about beating C5s in F-bodys because of the A4 with tall gears. That Vette is the most common and the slowest.

Verdad Gallardo i know a c5 with lid/catback can beat a stock termy from a roll even though a lid and catback doesnt add but like 12whp its still enough to make it less of a drivers race from a roll and give the vette an edge, i was talkin about stock for stock 2006vette

A base C5 M6 will weigh between 3150-3250 wet. They'll run through the 1/4 mile at 12.8-13.2 and trap 109-111mph. My car's best with just a filter was a 13.1@111. As another poster pointed out the most common C5 kill is the A4 with 2.73 gears, which are high 13 second cars. I don't know how that stacks up to stock cobra. And I thought they were heavier than the 3550lb figure quoted on page 1. More like 3800lbs.

Bone stock vs. Bone stock with equakl drivers, they are pretty much equal in the 1/4 mile, if it is an M6 or A4 with the 3,15 gears. (both capable of high 12s) At speeds over 100mph the vette has an advantage.
When I was stock, with an a4 2.73 car, I could not beat a STOCK Cobra from a dig. On a freeway pull from 80mph to 140mph I put a car on him.

Okay this looks like its going towards a GM vs Ford war 
but well Ive been searching on the stats and it looks to me as it really comes down to a drivers race like some of you might been mentioning....but I have noticed that the vettes trap a lil higher speeds than termys.Dus meaning that in a roll its more likely to be the vette that will come on top even though I dont mean to dis cobras even though I still respect the compitetion.As the way I look at it chevys and fords are all ways a team when it comes down to beeing a domestic vs. import show down.However when you really look at it besides us LS1 vehicles the only other muscle car out their is really Mustangs....every other category as in import theirs Honda,Nissan,Mitsubishi,Toyota,etc.In exotics theirs Lambos,Porches,Ferraris,Mclaren,ect.Trucks 4x4 or diesels whaterver theirs Dodge,jeeps,hummers,fords,chevys etc...but muscle cars like I said its only ford and chevy why try to eliminate to only other compitetion.
