Default 200mph in a 427 ZO6...

do any of you guys that own a 427 ZO6 ever hit 200mph in it?

im convinced a stock zo6 can do this.there is vid of one tested doing 190 in 5th. i find it hard to believe it wont do 200. im not talking speed limited...im saying does the motor and aero-characteristics of the car have what it takes...

has anyone hit 200 in their zo6 ?

I could've sworn someone with just a CAI and a tune hit 200 in 5th. I can't remember where I read about it though. The tune let him run out the rpms past 7000 and he just kissed 200 if I remember correctly. Do a search on some of the other boards. If I find it I will post up.

The last number on my base, auto '00 C5's speedometer is 200. That means it'll go 200 miles per hour.

My Canadian spec C5 has a speedometer that goes to 300, so does that mean mine will do 300 mph?

Default been to 200mph+

I have done 200+ many times in my C4 Open Road car(see sig). In my car (with the wing and front air dam which are great for handling, but does cause some drag) it took 550rwhd to do a deuce.
For you folks that are thinking of attempting to hit 200mph keep in mind that you car needs to be in top shape. Here is what happens when you blow a tire at 204mph:

All the damage you see is from the tire explosion. We never had any impact. Myself and navigator walked away without a bruise or scratch. So the point is be careful.

Stock C6 ZO6 only put down about 460ish rwhp. You are going to need a lot more power to hit 200 MPH let alone 217 MPH.

I agree with you but disagree too. If you lower the c6 z and throw in a bad *** tune and a CAI you got a shot at 200.

I mean. 170 felt real fast to me in my C5 Z but Do you really need to hit 200! Isn't it more fun to hit turns fast?

I don't doubt that a modded one can go that fast (LG MOTORSPORTS customer hit 218 on gps in Arizona) but a stock one I don't think so.

No.

Unless they're at 200.

To me, the only thing that rivals HIGH SPEED,...is sex. To me, it's the same kind of rush, without the nut.

I get done with a high speed pass....makes me wanna shout....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I took my girl for a ride,...who had never been in anything fast before, other then some 600 bike..... I took her for a very nice triple digit ride.... ever since then, she's hooked. Now, all she does, is talk **** for me. Her face lights up when thinking about it. Thats just an example of the possible rush.

Ofcourse, time and place for everything. And, even though **SHE** loved it, I won't take her that fast, ever again. Just not worth it.

Myself...ready to rock and roll.

My girlfriend sometime talks **** for me. Im sure with the new combo, I will be getting picked on by all the cobra owners around here.

She loves to come with me when I race anyone.
