Default C6 Zo6 Vs P1sc C5

Well a friend of mine is fixn to put a Procharger P1SC on his car..his setup consist of Blower cam, stock 241 heads,1 7/8 headers, ORX, p1sc @ 8lbs, Ls6 intake, ported throttle body, and new clutch. Hes a pretty good driver and ive ran him in my 02 ss from a dig and beat him pretty good when he was cam only. My question is how would his car match up to my stock (for the moment) 2007 Zo6 from a roll and a dig

Go Honker and LT's...then get your tune. You'll feel the difference.

A boosted C5 (especially with a blower cam/supporting mods) will pull a stock C6 Z.

He needs to sell his car if you win with either of yours. That C5 should pull your SS and/or your C6 all day @ 8pds of boost

Race both of your car against his. Why just race one, we want the results from both. I think if you have a cai, and LG's pro longtubes with a tune on the Z you would give hime a hell of a run. The ss with mods and gears should be quick off the line but he'll chase you down on the big end and walk away.

It all depends on traction from a dig or roll. A well setup s/c c5 in an auto runs 9's with tires. A s/c c5 manual is hard to drive and should run mid-high 11's on street tires. That's about what a well driven c6z should run too. Probably would be a good race until traction is not an issue and the s/c should pull away.

Well said, I forgot about traction. All the power in the world doesn't mean squat if you can't hook it up. Best example I can give would be me, 490 rwhp 445 rwtq no traction and ran 12.3 in the 1/4 with a 2.33 60 ft time. I have since added the Nitto DR's and traction is no longer an issue. Can't wait to redeem myself at Milan Dragway. Now race the guy already.

I agree with the others here... His boosted (P1SC @ 8lbs.) C5 should easily handle either of your cars, traction permitting.

Now for your C6 Z06... all you need is your choice of CAI (Callaway Honker or Halltech are great choices), LG Pro LT's, and a tune... and you will give him a very, very hard time. I saw a C6 Z06 with those mods run neck and neck with a fully forged bottom end, 2.2L KenneBell, full supporting mods, 04 Cobra, both with good drivers... Yes Sir! If you want to surprise him just throw in a LGMotorsports or LPE custom C6Z06 cam and he might be watching your taillights...

Good Luck and keep us posted.

You are assuming the blower car won't chuck a belt or be heat soaked by the time they are ready to race.
