Default which vette?

What are the primary differences, If any between the 2002-2004 C5 Z06's? Finally decided to get one post-deployment but I cant decide which year between 02-04. Is any of these years much better than the other?

Pretty much the same. 02 is the first year you'd probably want as that's when they went from 385 hp to 405 hp.

Read the sticky at the topic of this forum about the differences between the years.

Get any year, they're all the same in real world driving. I have an '01... and mine's the strongest stock Zo6 I've ever driven (And I've driven over 20 of them)

The things that gives the 20 extra hp to the '02+ are the things you change out of the car when you start modding anyway....

not sure on the active handling but i think all z06's have it. joshua is right. dont be scared to buy an 01 because of the little lower factory rating. all the things they changed are things you would change yourself if you mod the car. exhaust, and cam being the biggest things.

in mid to late 03 and all of 04 they changed the fuel system. its much more expensive upgrade. just about the only thing you can do to the new system is a boost a pump. 01,02 and half of 03 roughly do not have this problem. just something to think about if you are going to mod the car
