Default 01' Z06 + 106k miles...

And they only want 15k.....does that sound like a good deal? I found a red '01 Z06 that looks to be in good condition however I do not live in the same state as where it's located so I cannot see it w/ my own eyes to tell you how great of condition it's in. I've never seen a Z06 this low in price unless it's not a clean title, should I be worried about this one?

15K for a Z06 isn't a bad price. Mileage is up there but as long as it's been taken care of I would go for it. Especially since 97 Corvettes with over 100k miles seem to go for that price.

Oh and one last thing. If you are thinking about buying it before seeing it. Do not do it. My father recently went through this. He was given decent pictures and the guy swore it was mint. It was in impulse and he bought it. When we went there to pick it up it was in miserable condition. Looked nothing like promised. Went through alot of trouble but got our money back. If you really want it try your best to see it and inspect it yourself. Good luck and keep us posted.

Run away....

-any- clean Zo6 will bring $20k regardless of miles.

There's something else going on with that '01....

Plan to spend at least mid-20's for a "no-excuse" purchase.

*Pm if you want one...

Another option is an independent inspector? I've never used one, but I have heard that they're useful in these situations, and I believe that they're reasonably priced. Good luck on the decision!

Id suspect that Z of being a rebuild/wrecked car. Private inspector or in person....It doesn't always show on the car-fax or title either....

You better make sure that Zo6 has good muffler bearings.

That 'Vette has probably taken more hits than Mike Tyson.

i've seen deals before. Sometimes somebody doesn't even realise what they are worth. Or doesn't care how much they get as long and it is what they need outta it. Although i'd be suspicious i wouldn't pass on it until i saw it and drove it. As for being fixed, 70% of the vehicles on the road have had damage. It could have been stolen and declared to be totalled. In that case WHO CARES if you plan on moddin' the **** outta it and keepin' it. I bought my Vette wrecked. It was hit real light in the passengers back side. Car is a loaded coupe with 74k miles and i paid $10.5k for it. Put $1,500 in parts and paint and after i sold my Z28 i'm sittin' in it only oweing $4.5k on it. The nice thing about getting them that way is you save a ton right off the bat and that makes it much easier to mod right away. I wouldn't pass on it until you see and drive it. Look for and fiberglass repairs. Stuff like that.~Cole~

P.S. mine however has a clean title
