Rear to front converstion

Question: How does your vette stop when changing the front brakes with the small rears. I am looking to put 15" drag rims on my car has anyone on here done that yet? I remember reading a thread about it but dont remember where. Any info would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

I can't find the thread but remember reading about that on corvetteforum.
Someone put rear calipers on the front and used 15" skinnies.

I am using 17" gto spares (like $50 each) with m&h tires. 4 inch wide and clear the brakes.

A C5 can not fit 15" wheels. Even if you put smaller calipers on, the control arms will be in the way. If you do a solid axle conversion, you then could use 15" rims. The smallest wheel to can fit( with minor modification ) is a 16". CCW has a very nice Drag package for the C5.

Is this conversion strictly for track use? Sounds like something similar to the Wilwood draglite kits. I woudn't think that the small rear pads would provide much stopping power if used on the front especially with repeated use.
