Default clutch making wierd noises

sounds like somethings loose when engage then disengage the clutch. it doesnt do it all the time. sometimes when im riding the clutch say on an incline at a complete stop, it makes wierd sounds, like spinning a 45ib steel gym weight on a steel peg. any ideas whats happening?

your symptoms aren't really well explained, but sounds like either a bearing or a pressure plate in screwed. quit driving it and tear it apart to inspect.

Throw-out bearing? It really should make that noise all the time though.

I have the same exact problem. It's the throwout bearing on mine.

It started as a random occurance. At first I thought it was the ORY banging on the floor but then it got worse. Now it does it all the time pretty much. Under heavy throttle in first I can't hear it most of the time (Maybe my engine/exhaust is just too loud.) Mine sounds like someone is beating a steel bar up against the engine block. It sucks because it's so bad its retarded my timing.

Doesn't matter. I changed mine - the master cylinder and it was making noise before the break-in period was over. Not a big deal though. Every manual perfromance car I've owned has done it.
